Restoring Truth: A Summit for California’s Native Future!

Dear Tribal Leaders,

I am personally inviting you to Restoring Truth: A Summit for California’s Native Future at the Soboba Event Center on March 28 and 29, 2025. This summit will bring together tribal leaders, advocates, and allies to discuss the critical issues we face and work together on strategies that protect our sovereignty and create lasting opportunities for future generations.

We’ll begin on Friday evening (6:00 – 8:00 pm) with a private dinner and cultural sharing to set the stage for the summit. Soboba has generously offered special rates for summit attendees.

On Saturday morning (9:00 am – 12:00 pm), we’ll focus on actionable steps, covering key topics such as:

• Addressing California’s history of injustices toward Native Americans
• Mobilizing Native communities for political action, including the Silver Feather Alert System
• Supporting Native American representation in government
• Recognizing Native individuals and tribes making a positive impact

This summit is about coming together to share ideas and gain a clear direction. Our goal is to leave with a plan that empowers us to take meaningful steps and create real change that will directly impact our lives.

Please register today to attend at EmpoweringCalifornia.com. I look forward to working with you to strengthen our sovereignty and secure a brighter future for our people.

With respect,

James Ramos
Assemblymember, 45th District
Chair, Native American Legislative Caucus
